Located in the historical centre of the village on the slightly elevated plateau of the church area, the views of the old and new Church, the old Tannberg and the historic Messmer stable as well as the snow-covered mountains are unique.

Today, the Sandbur is one of the few Walser houses still almost completely preserved.
